Good evening, CE players!

This news update will cover some recent new releases, development updates, bug fixes, and pending releases! We also have a lore chapter on the way along with some lore integration to our currently available game features!

First off, we are thrilled to announce we have made changes to our breeding script! Previously, foals always stayed with the owner of the mare. We have revised the breeding process to ensure foals bred from two different players always go to the player who paid the breeding fee! In addition to these changes, we have modified the notifications sent when a breeding request has been sent, and after the breeding is approved. Who is excited to breed without waiting for their foals to be sent through the trade board?!

Next, we have also made revisions to our Elder Quest game! The Quests were resetting players back to level one despite the level being completed, so we have now entered the testing phase of this fix. We would appreciate it if players would try out a few levels and check back in an hour to see if you were reset. This will help us identify any residual bugs!

In addition to fixing the Quest bug, this feature is about to receive a wonderful overhaul to integrate lore! Mini-stories and beautiful artwork will make an arrival by September, so be on the lookout for a fun little update.

We are still working on adding approved creators to private breeds along with the approval process, which is expected to be wrapped up next weekend. Thank you all for your patience while we work on these builds! Breeds and creation is the heartbeat of CE, so we want to ensure this build is done thoroughly and correctly.

Next up we have a little preview for pending feature releases and updates!

Development Cue:
- Ability to cancel trade offers and trade lots (fixing the stuck horse bug)
- Remove the ability for players to post "stickied" forum threads (staff only)
- Horse retirement bug resolution
- Add a link to add a horse to trade/auction from the profile
- Add a link to add an item to trade/auction from inventory
- Add cool down text to barn view for horses
- Ability to retire a horse at any age (previously only age 18)
- Unlimited quantity in inventory for player items (commissioned genes or wearable)

When the list above is completed, we will shift our focus back to the highly requested reference books for genes and items! This will also tie into horse profiles in the form of hyperlinks to each gene's "book entry".

Current Cash Shop items and Spotlight Events will be cycled out on the last day of July, so be sure to grab those items while you can. The new natural body color and Reaper Ram horns will be available through August as it fits our next theme.

Hello everyone!
We¢re here with our first follow-up announcement with regards to the overhaul:

The Free Playable Characters (or "FPCs") system is being replaced with other methods of receiving free "Make Your Own" characters (MYOs) to begin playing the game.

Two days ago, we turned off the creation of new FPCs. Today, we are announcing that we will be removing any undesigned FPCs in approximately 3.5 months¢ time.

Please submit your designed version of any FPCs you own via the MYO submission form before November 8th at 23:59:59 Eastern Time.

We will be implementing new systems to get free/game-earned MYOs (for example, you can get a ticket for any playable species by completing the tutorial) that overall have fewer restrictions than FPC, but we wanted to extend this opportunity to also finish up and keep FPCs for those who had created them before -- basically as a thank you for having participated in the system.

Designed FPCs will be retaining their account-locked status and will not become tradable despite the system being removed. If you are not able to submit during this time frame for whatever reason, but had a design planned for the FPC, you are absolutely free to create that character via an MYO ticket as we roll out more ways to obtain them for free and via the game.

To reiterate: You have until November 8 at 23:59:59 Eastern Time to submit designed versions of FPCs. Any that are not designed (still showing the NPC, non-customized version of the art) will be removed after this point.

If you already designed and submitted your FPC art in the past, you don¢t need to worry about this! That is your character and we will not be removing them. We will ONLY be removing FPCs that were never designed and updated with new art.

Our reasoning for this is that we desire to change the FPC system to a more progression-based system of acquiring free characters, while also making the new free characters have less restrictions overall.

We also do not desire to take away completely designed FPCs, as we maintain that our position on character designs is that we will not take them away, as per our Terms of Service, but we would also like to balance the previous mass-attainability of FPCs with the new systems of MYO rewards.

Thus, we felt that the best compromise for balancing purposes was to keep completed FPCs, with their account-bound restrictions, remove uncompleted FPCs, and implement the ability to acquire new MYOs that can still be used to finish creating any previously-uncompleted designs if so desired.

We have also started rolling out some other changes to systems, such as updating the "Innate Abilities" page to talk about their new replacement -- Skills (which is similar!). Though there may be some discrepancies across pages that still talk about Innate Abilities (such as the tutorial). We are working on updating all of these pages to make them align with one another, but didn¢t want you to have to wait to start seeing some information regarding what we intend for the game.

Astral Story was actually a project that I (Jack) had worked on throughout 2019, and then continued simultaneously alongside Lyth for a while. Unfortunately, running two games stretched me a bit too thin, and after the success of the Lyth merge, I decided (with the help of Lyth¢s team) to merge Astral Story into the Realm of Lyth!

Similar to the Symph Pond merger earlier this year, Astral Story¢s species and concepts are being absorbed completely into Lyth, so you¢ll be seeing some new faces and features thanks to this! We expect this to mostly be a lot of additions to Lyth, same as it was with the Symph merger, and I¢m excited to move forward with even more cool species to play with! Astral Story species will gain the ability to take part in any aspect of Lyth that any of our other playable species can.

If you had an Astral Story account, we will also be merging those into Lyth, so you will be able to redeem and keep earned things on your Realm of Lyth account! We hope to once again fully integrate this new community with the Lythian community, so please give the Astral Story folks a warm welcome as well!

The biggest alteration happening along with this is currency changes. With these merges and a re-evaluation of our many currencies, we have reached the decision to merge all currencies into one: Loonoles. While we may have other event/specific currencies in the future, we feel that one currency for all primary shops and functions will be less confusing and allow us to focus less on balancing that section of the game, so we can put more of our efforts into making other new features.

Our plan from here is to adjust the amount earned from various art activities, as well as potentially shop prices, to try and ensure a stable economy, and better equality for currency-earning between artistic methods moving forward.

Written at least 250 words per prompt (or per participant if RP log)
You can turn in a maximum of three prompts; you can do one prompt three times if you'd like!
Submit them via the ARPG submit form under "Event Prompt."
They must be turned in by February 24th @ 23:59:59 to be eligible for rewards!
