Today begins the release of the Percheron into the foundation store! Percheron is now available to players with gold and platinum upgrades. On Saturday at noon, the breed will be fully released for everyone to purchase at the foundation store.

It's time for a family game night! Samuel has released an exciting new board game for you and all of your Pets to enjoy. The classic, exciting Cobrons And Ladders Board Game is here to keep your spirits bright even on the rainiest days. And if you're more into collectibles than board games, you don't have to miss out -- Samuel has also released a new Cobrons And Ladders Trading Card, as well as the Cobrons And Ladders Figurine.

°¦µ°» Percheron Leg Markings

Per request, we have added leg markings to Percherons since they are allowable in the breed. Percherons now have coronet, pastern, and sock leg markings. These are available via custom coins or at a low chance in the Foundation Store.

° Somatic Mutations!

The following breeds now have somatic mutations: Quarter Paint, Pony of the Americas, Warlander, Drum Horse, and Anglo Arabians. Auctions for mutation horses are going up shortly! Remember, somatic mutations only occur through the foundation store or breeding at a very very low chance.

¢¨ Rare Gene Straw/Egg Auctions

There are a few rare gene straw and egg auctions that will be going up shortly. This is to introduce rare genes from new foundation stock to help those who wish to keep lines non-inbred. The auctions are:

• Leopard TWH Straw

• Leopard TWH Egg

• Leopard Irish Cob Straw

• Leopard Irish Cob Egg

° Quality Stock Auctions

There will also be auctions going up that include horses that are 6E and have high PS. We will be auctioning off at least 1 mare and 1 stallion that fits this criteria of every breed in-game over the next few weeks. Ideally, we hope this helps some of those who have crossbreed campaigns or players who need a little help reaching breeding goals.

Here at IcePets, we like to keep our treats as fresh as can be; sometimes, that requires a little bit of revamping. To anyone whose Pets have a sweet tooth, you'll surely be pleased to hear that the Chocolate, Gold, Ice, Silver, Snow, Strawberry, and Zebra Fondues have all received some brand new artwork! As always, these yummy desserts can be found at Sugar Rush, with the exception of the Snow Fondue, which is rewarded by the Snowman Quest. The Chocolate, Gold, Ice, Silver, Snow, Strawberry, and Zebra Fondues have also received updated descriptions!

If you are having trouble seeing the new artwork, try doing a hard refresh using Ctrl+F5 on Windows or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac.

I'm in need of a chuckle. Just walked more than I have in a year. Tell me your embarrassing but funny wajas story. I'll randomly pick 10 or so to get a cwp or two. I'll go first. An user pmed me asking a question outside of my area of expertise so I went to redirect them to a silver moderator... instead of telling them to pm a silver mod...my phone auto corrected me to pee on...and you know the rest. It's my biggest blight on my staff history. This will last until 8pm wajas time then I'll staff only it.

Tomorrow (May 20th) we will be holding our monthly 250k Mini Bubbles Challenge.

Staff and moderators will be putting up challenges in the Games Room. Once you have beaten a staff/moderator, please DO NOT challenge them again. It is our goal to get everyone who wants to win a vault code for a Pterian Mini Bubble. Vault codes will be handed out on Friday.

° New Breed

The Percheron has stomped its way into Eqcetera! This breed often sports a black or grey coat and excels in several disciplines although in Eqcetera, it is geared towards disciplines using power. Percherons are available via custom coins. They will be released into the foundation store May 20th at 6PM for platinum and gold players and May 22th at 12:00PM for everyone. 

The somatic mutation Percheron auctions will be going up shortly! These start at 500 ingots and display the 2 possible somatic mutations in Percherons.

Custom Percherons have two base colors, Black (EE aa) or Bay (EE AA). The foundation store is the only way to purchase Percherons that are Ee or one of the other agouti genes, A+ or At. This means in order to breed chestnut-based Percherons, you will need to find Ee horses in the foundation store. To breed chestnut variations and bay variations, you will need to find those with A+ or At in the store.

Perchrons also have the roan gene, Rn, which will be extremely limited. To limit the gene, only three studs will be made that carry Rn. These studs will be owned by Curly and offer private breedings only to mares that hit specific criteria. This is to reduce the mass breeding of a rare gene and reward those who dedicate themselves to improving the breed. Mares eligible to breed must be at least level 70, have a total PS of 1,000, training boost of 10, and BS star value of 4 or higher. Breedings will be limited and end once the Rn gene is deemed to be sustained by the horses in-game.

° New Discipline

To give our draft breeds a bit more to do, a new discipline has been added! Pulling has been added which requires an outdoor arena to train in. Pulling uses power, agility ,and intelligence. Shows for Pulling will be created tonight at roll over and can be entered tomorrow.

° Care Cron

The care cron has been turned back on so expect your horses to need feeding, watering, and grooming tomorrow. You will also see a bill for boarding if you¢re using outside boarding.

¢¨ Eqcetera Blog May 2021: Game Economies

We have this month's blog up about game economies! Our blog follows the issue of the Eqcetera economy, how long it lasted, why we ade changes, and how we began to fix it.

°® Future Plans

With only 3 updates left on the roadmap between now and our out of BETA launch, we decided to switch things around a bit. Starting this month, we will no longer have monthly updates. Instead, we¢ll be working on all 3 updates simultaneously. There are reasons for this that we¢ll dive into in a future update, but the takeaway is that everything will still be completed before launch.

Speaking of launch, we¢ve added quite a bit (a lot) to our production schedule that we hope to get done before then. We want Eqcetera to be the best it can be when we finally invest money into marketing and try to get more players. That said, we¢ve decided to delay BETA launch until October 16, 2021. We¢re super psyched to show you all that¢s in the works. 

Between now and that date, we will be working on the remainder of our plans and releasing what we¢re calling ¢patches.¢ This means that there will most likely be multiple releases of a single feature and perhaps even multiple versions as we perfect things. We hope to gain your feedback during this time so we can make it something fun for everyone already playing.

Since we¢re working on extremely large new systems, there may be a bit of time passing between patch releases. If this is the case, we won¢t leave you in the dark! We¢ll create some sort of update post with sneak peeks and previews of what we¢re working on.

° Bug Fixes

• There were a few issues with discipline shows that have been ironed out since the last update. 

• The Breed Standard Tracker no longer allows numbers below 0 or above 100.

• Fixed an issue with gene testing that didn¢t allow for multiple tests.

• When sending multiple horses for careers, they should now consume the appropriate amount of energy.

• You should now be able to enter only halter shows with the Enter All settings.

• Horses that are white with grey genes should no longer show ¢Greying White¢ on the stable page.

• You should no longer be able to select a horse for DNA testing multiple times.

• Images should no longer become skinny when on mobile.

• Timers should now display in the Auction House and Horse Market.

¢¯¸ Note

Please note that we are continuing to monitor the balance of discipline shows, halter shows, and careers. There may be changes coming to help balance out each of them so one path doesn¢t seem better than the others.

Miscellaneous Updates

In addition to the above, some miscellaneous small improvements have been added to the Lythbound site. Among these, Font Awesome and Bootstrap content may now be used on Lythian pages, and IDs have been added to some customizable page content to facilitate easier page editing.
