Several dyes have been "homeless" (i.e., not in the mystery dye/dye emporium/dye shop/etc) for some time now, and we have decided to fix that! We've all been there. You create a new design in the Custom Demo, but when you go to save it all your design slots are full. You open the Demo in another tab and delete a few old designs you no longer need, but when you go back to the first tab it still thinks all your slots are full. Doh! Now the Load Design and Save Design panels let you refresh the design list. A quick click and you can save your design in one of the newly freed up slots! Eventually the next generation Custom Demo will make this even smoother so you won't need to use a second tab, but until then hopefully this little quality of life update will help.
