We have a quick update for you all regarding some development changes, new releases, and an updated development timeline. Keep reading to learn more!

ITEM UPDATES

One of our main focuses right now is to improve the economy of Celestial Equine. We have revised the "uses" for most wearables to increase usage of consumable items. For example, "Red Polos" previously had 100 uses, whereas now they have 10. These items are fairly common, but with over 6,000 in circulation, it is hard to establish any value. We will be releasing games that require certain items to "create" your own new item, so hopefully, this adds more value to common items! We also have quest modifications in the works, so hold tight!

Lastly, we have modified how many items are stocked in each Celestial shop at a time and will continue to adjust item rarity. In the meantime, it is very important to place items for sale in your shops! This will help kick-off item usage and participation in other activities.

BEAUTY CONTEST UPDATES

After a site-wide poll, we have adjusted the Beauty Contests to be judged each night! BC will be judged at midnight moving forward, so be sure to vote away! Prizes have also been increased to the following:

1st place - 75,000 coins to the player, 10,000 points to the horse

2nd place - 50,000 coins to the player, 7,000 points to the horse

3rd place - 10,000 coins to the player, 5,000 points to the horse

Remember, you also earn 1,000 coins and 100 points to the horse for each head to head your horse wins, so this activity is a great way to earn some coins! Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

SPOTLIGHT HORSES
Spotlight horses are finally here! Many of you have had questions around this new feature, so we would love to address them all in a news post. First, spotlight horse awards are given to horses with excellent stats (genetic, adjustable, and/or points), have a beautiful appearance, or simply stand out to a staff member. This award comes with a beautiful profile badge, name icon from the barn view, and can be searched for on the horse search area. This award should dramatically increase the value of his/her lineage and be a coveted prize.

DEVELOPMENT UPDATES
Lastly, we have fallen a bit behind with the remaining development tasks we have outlined in previous news posts. We are in the process of resolving a few issues on the backend which has caused bugs with our admin panel. Though it is difficult to pump the brakes, we know it is very important to keep the admin panel in tip-top shape before working on new improvements. The following updates should be released by next Friday:
- Caps on breeding stats
- Foal error post-breeding (foal will go to whoever sent in breeding request)
- Battle Modifications

First, we have a few fun dev updates for you all! We have managed to fix our bug regarding the shopping carts on the news page associated with the newest items. Now you can click the shopping cart to be directed to the proper area to purchase said item! Cash shop items will direct to the Cash Shop, and regular items will direct to the shop they can be found in. Remember, only Cash Shop items are constantly stocked! Checking Celestial Shops regularly is the best way to snatch up new items.

Next, we have added the ability for moderators to select Spotlight Horses! Spotlight Horses are a very special designation for horses who stand out in a crowd. From having perfect stats to a beautiful appearance, Spotlight Horses deserve recognition! If your horse is selected as a Spotlight recipient, a special badge will be added to its profile and from the barn view. Spotlight Horses can be searched for via the Search page. Enjoy!

A new Spotlight Event has been released along with new individual Cash Shop items. These fiery genes will only be here until February 15, so snatch them up while you can! Remember, Cash Shop genes are unregisterable and can only be obtained through item use or breeding.

Hello everyone! We¢ve got an exciting announcement today regarding a species you might be familiar with from the past: Symphonies!

We have been speaking with Bun and Sol, the creator-owners of Symphonies (and Lilipeeps) regarding options to bring Symphs back into the world of Lyth. The ultimate result of this is they have generously offered to allow myself (Jackalune) to acquire Symphonies with the intention of Realm of Lyth completely absorbing the world and species and merging the two into one game. I'm absolutely stoked to have this opportunity to bring even more content to a larger community and help grow the world of Lyth and Symphonies together!

For existing Lyth concepts, not much is changing. It's primarily a lot of additions! The intention is to merge in some of the existing Symphony lore, and add on their island continent (Igroven) to our map as an explorable location (where you can use the Symphony currency in their shops!). We would also like to bring in some of their quests and concepts, such as Notes (baby Symphs), and pets (which will be a type of collectible that you can attach to ANY Lythian!).

Symphonies will also be able to take part in any aspect of Lyth that any of our other playable species can. We intend to implement a capturable egg for them so that you can get a free MYO (just like you can an Onini or Shecean, for example). If you already have a Symphony/Lilipeep or Symph inventory, we will also be merging those into Lyth, so you will be able to redeem and keep those on your Realm of Lyth account!

Additionally, our hope is to fully integrate the Symphony community with the Lythian community so please give them a warm welcome! We also have extended the opportunity for their staff and guest artists to stay on with us if they would like, so you may see some new faces in our staff team.

I am super excited to work on merging the world of Symphonies with Lyth and cannot wait to see what cool stories we can come up with in the future!

In honor of the second go at the roaring 20s, you all will find a beautiful flapper wearable in your inventory. Dress up your horses with pride and get excited for the many things to come!

..........................The Celestial square slowly filled with smoke, horses darting to the nearest building to take shelter. Muffled coughs could be heard from behind closed doors, though no equine dares mutter a word. A new type of horse had clearly arrived to Celestia, along with two beautiful molten-legged sprites.

The smog parted to reveal a glorious, flaming-winged horse. The leader of this band, Zarus, sneered as he glanced around the empty square.

"No one wishes to greet the great Kyriseus band?"

Sarcasm dripped from his audacious rhetorical question. A tiny black, molten sprite stood at his side carefully watching his master`s surroundings. The little Rougette would never let any create take Zarus by surprise.

Zarus swiftly turned onto his heels before dipped back into the coils of smoke and heat his body continuously radiated. No doubt this band of horses would mean trouble, but how much?

The Celestial square remained empty, the town seemingly holding their breath with anxious anticipation.



The Kyriseus breed is available for creation in the Volcano origin world! This breed has four beautiful variations, which are best viewed in the premium builder. Create your own today!

The Rougette Sprite can be found in the Companion area of the Cash Shop, currently available in two color variations (red and blue). New variations will be released on Friday!

Lastly, we have a quick development update for you all. We have a handful of releases planned for this week! Our most exciting and biggest update is to our battle system, which will include a monthly mini-story and rotating NPC characters, exclusive prizes, RPG style battle dialogue, and bug fixes! We hope this update not only sparks your interest but further motivates players to sharpen their sword and hop into the battle arena! Exclusive prizes will include coins, battle items, genes, and more.

We also will be making adjustments to how stat points and horse exp are passed on through breeding, along with establishing caps for stat points. This change is being made in an effort to reduce the number of super-horses and level the playing field.

Winter is here again! Tundra biotope has become available through the portal network. Beastlords value these cold distant islands for the possibility to find hibernating Lykos Eggs, and the luckiest ones can wander upon a Pristine Snowflake and grow their own Etelia.

We have two important apparel related updates today!

We introduce the apparel crafting system.

You may find it in Manor > Tack Workshop. You need to have the Tack Workshop to be able to craft the apparels. Several permanent designs available at the moment, and more are coming.

The Tack Workshop now has two levels, each allowing to craft a set of apparels. Apparels don't take any place in the inventory anymore even without the Tack Workshop.

It's now possible to create custom apparels!

You may find the page to do this at Pets > Submit a Custom Apparel. The submission is completely free! Also unlike official apparels, custom ones don't require the Tack Workshop neither for submission nor for crafting. 

We're especially excited about this update and eager to see your  wonderful creations! 

Related Updates

The Laboratory can be upgraded to level 3. The third level allows to craft apparel specific dyes and alloys. You may access your level 3 Laboratory craft at Manor > Laboratory.

Some of the rare components stock in the State Store. Keep an eye on them!
