After hours and hours of troubleshooting we made a decision we were hoping to have more time to do-- we've moved servers!

Our downtime and issues were caused by an issue on our previous host that was beyond our control. Ugh! :( But we had planned to move to a new server for a while.. we just wanted to do it on our own time, not rush into it.

We are now running great on the new server and the 500 errors and site bouncing around should be done with!

Its never easy is it?

It looks like we encountered a pretty big bug that has to do with how things are configured on the server. A few error 500 bugs are popping up around the site as a result.

You may experience these errors or the site not loading at the moment as we try to resolve this.

Sorry about the problems, unfortunately we had no way to anticipate this particular issue :(

Very happy Monday to all and we hope that you had a fabulous weekend. @Howey & I have had quite the weekend as we're on our way to the East Coast! We have been driving all weekend and getting pretty tired of it lol. With that being said, I'll go ahead and jump right into it.... We are going to have to take a short, two week break from the Pet Spotlights. We are going to be quite busy with all of our moving and job hunting, that we won't be able to effectively do a pet spotlight for these next couple of weeks. I know it is something y'all look forward to, so we'll make sure we'll bring them back right when we get settled.

As far as last weeks spotlight, we had some great submissions for the Helio and hope that everyone was able to get their artwork in in time. °Remember, you have until Wednesday at 8pm EST to vote on your favorite one to win!

We've been opening up submissions for the annual Festival of Eggs and the Halloween Trick-or-Treat events to community submissions for some time now. Both events have been receiving a lot interest, so we're continuing the process this year.

All submissions must be sent via PM to @Event Art Submissions. The deadline for submissions is October 20.

Here's some base guidelines:

• Treats should be generally Halloween-themed, not just random objects.
• Size limit of 50x50px.
• Images must be submitted in PNG or GIF form.
• Treats must be pixel art, which generally means that overall color count is limited and pixels are intentionally placed. Do not use filters or anti-aliased tools such as Photoshop's paint brush.
• Treats may be animated, but should not use rapid or flashing effects.
  • Animated PNGs are allowed, but your mileage may vary.
  • The first frame of animation should be identifiable, to accommodate situations where animations are disabled.
• Semi-transparency is allowed.
• Images must not be shared publicly before the event begins.
• Images should not have blank space around the outer edges.
• Treats should not use the egg base (save those for the Festival of Eggs).
• Treats may be rejected for reasons other than those in this post¢namely, there will be a general quality bar. We'll try to provide useful feedback around rejections.
• Only one submission will be accepted per-person, unless otherwise announced.

There are a limited number of spots available. Art will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis which only applies when the art is deemed to meet all of the above guidelines (that is, if you need to make changes and resubmit, that bumps you to the back of the line).

By submitting art to the Trick or Treat event, you grant Dragon Cave a non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license to host, use, distribute, modify, copy, display, and create derivative works of your content. You can end this license any time by contacting us, though the art may not be immediately deleted. The license also ends immediately upon notice from us that the art will not be used in the event.
