Have you heard what the buzz is all about? Insects are swarming across Sornieth, and bug-loving dragons everywhere are taking advantage of it!

Springswarm
Springswarm, one of Flight Rising's quarterly "micro-holidays", is in full swing! From Thursday, March 5th (06:00 Server Time) to Monday, March 9th (06:00 Server Time), all players will experience a couple of battle-related boosts!


Bountiful Battles
For the duration of Springswarm, all Coliseum enemies will have the chance to drop insect food items in addition to their normal loot. Other site activities such as gathering, breeding, bonding, brewing, and visiting some of the trading post dragons will also yield a chance at collecting some of the swarm! Dragon clans everywhere are taking this time to stock up on ants, bees, cicadas, caterpillars, butterflies, worms, beetles, and more to keep them satisfied until the summer time.

Battle EXP Boost
During the event, all battles will yield 50% additional EXP, so now is a perfect time for dragons to train. Grab your newest team and head out into battle!



A Swarm of Treasures!
Dragonkind are not the only ones taking advantage of the swarm. As the forests, jungles, and fields teem with life, enterprising critters rummage through the undergrowth. A few clever species of boar add their talents to this bug bonanza, using the moss and dirt to shimmy themselves into the perfect hiding spots among newly emerged Swarm Sovereigns and Devourers. For the duration of Springswarm, the boars will drop occasionally in the Coliseum and rarely during Insect Catching. The swarm companions will also drop from the Coliseum and rarely from all type of gathering activities.

Once the swarms have subsided, the swarm will migrate onwards, but there's a chance dragons may still encounter one or two boars while Insect Catching.

A vista and scene have a chance to drop in the coliseum and many other site-related activities.

Mistral Jamboree Skin Contest
The twelfth annual Mistral Jamboree will begin on March 23, 2026, and we're running a skin and accent contest in celebration! Please note that the contest ends on Wednesday March 18th, as we announced in a prior update!

With deep sadness in our hearts we regret to announce that fifercats has passed away. She joined Powerpets in July 2006. Those who knew Debbie were truly the lucky ones. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved, and always willing to lend a ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. She loved squirrels, the color purple, cheering on her hockey team (shout out to the Seattle Kraken), and spending time with her pets (especially the cats). She was the long-time mayor of Eagle City and took great pride in her leadership.

Debbie was also part of the Action Team for the last 4 years. She brought such joy and positivity in everything that she did for the team. She enjoyed hosting games and being able to have fun with everyone. She could never be replaced. Her spirit will be forever missed by all of us!
